What is the path of the package that you would like to have removed?

github.com/nywilken/go-cty/v2

Are you the owner of this package?

Yes

What is the reason that you could not retract this package instead?

This pkg is completely invalid and was published incorrectly. The repo https://github.com/nywilken/go-cty has since been updated to reflect that it is a fork of https://github.com/zclconf/go-cty and should not be used directly. While working with with a new repository at github.com/hetznercloud/packer-plugin-hcloud I found that this dependency is being suggested as a potential upgrade to the forked version, which is not correct.

In hindsight I think a retraction might just be okay. I'll close this issue and give it a go.

Slow start this morning I knew there was a reason why I couldn't use retract. This is a fork so the module name in the go.mod does not match the package name.

go: errors parsing go.mod:
/Users/dev/Development/go-cty-fork/go.mod:4:2: retract github.com/zclconf/go-cty: version "v2.0.1" invalid: should be v0 or v1, not v2
/Users/dev/Development/go-cty-fork/go.mod:5:2: retract github.com/zclconf/go-cty: version "v2.0.0" invalid: should be v0 or v1, not v2

I would like to avoid creating a new repo for the defunct module just to retract it. Which may have its own issues. Thanks in advance for the help.
