https://go.dev/ref/mem , referenced from https://go.dev/doc/ , is a very old version of the memory model document. We should keep that doc up-to-date with what is checked into our repository.
It is the version from 2014. There have been several revisions since then.

I'm not sure about how other files in /doc get updated. Might want to check asm.html as well. I suspect release notes and the spec are already handled correctly, or someone would have noticed.

I think it's the version in the tree, and the website is deployed with 1.18.x (which labels the document version to be from 2014). https://go.googlesource.com/go/+/refs/tags/go1.18.4/doc/go_mem.html#3

Ah, I see. Changes that landed since 2014 are visible (up to 1.18 release), it is just that the modtime wasn't updated.
Closing, assuming the 1.19 release will make the tip version live.
