The use of "match" in documentation[1] could cause confusion.

As speter is suggesting,  "the result is empty" would be less confusing, and
more consistent with both common SQL terminology and the rest of the godoc.

The OP's problem was, I beliveve, rooted in misunderstanding SQL, not in the wording of
the docs for Scan, which are IMO both clear and correct. Suggesting to close w/o changes.
