What steps will reproduce the problem?

$ go test fmt
ok fmt 0.015s

$ go test -work fmt
can't load package: package .: no Go source files in /some/path/here

Which compiler are you using (5g, 6g, 8g, gccgo)?

6g

Which operating system are you using?

linux

Which revision are you using?  (hg identify)
