gobuilder should abort build after timeout #1565

when the build hangs, the builder hangs.
gobuilder should kill the process group after
running for some timeout period, like 30 minutes,
and append to the build log that it was killed
due to a timeout.

Comment 4:

'go test' aborts after a timeout; that's probably enough.
It's easy to kill one 6.out; it's hard to take out the whole
process tree.
